Malaysia's leading multi-purpose terminal
Johor Port started operations in 1977 and is today, Malaysia's leading multi-purpose terminal, handling both containerised and bulk cargo. Much of the port's cargo comes from neighbouring Pasir Gudang, the southern region's largest industrial area. The port manages the largest vegetable oil tanking installation in the world and is only one of four locations in Asia which have received accreditation from the London Metal Exchange ('LME') as an approved LME location for LME warehousing activities and facilities.
