In 2009, following the acquisition of Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (SATS), MMC widened its involvement in the transport and logistics business into the area of air logistics.

Strategic location

Sultan Ismail International Airport, also known as Senai International Airport is the main gateway to Iskandar Malaysia. It is easily accessible to major logistics centres such as the Tanjung Pelepas Port (PTP), Johor Port as well as Singapore. Airport Expansion

Senai International Airport is currently undergoing an expansion plan which includes the construction of the Aero Mall which will add 6,500 sq metres of new retail space. The long term plan is to transform Senai International Airport into a complete cargo and logistics hub which will provide a comprehensive range of aviation, cargo, logistics and passenger facilities.

Senai Airport City

SATS also owns 2,718 acres of freehold land in the adjoining area which will be developed into Senai Airport City. Approximately 76% of the its gross land area will be developed into a Cargo and Logistics Hub and High-Tech Industrial Park, and has been granted Free Zone status.
